Getting started
Set up Deharhi in five minutes
Follow these steps the first time you open the app.
Open Finance and set up your farm
Tap Finance → Manage fields and crops → Add your farm. Give it a name and an optional location. This is the anchor for all your fields and expenses.
Add your fields and assign crops
Create a field for each plot, enter its area, and assign the crop currently growing on it. You can add more fields and change crops at any time.
Add your workers
Go to the Workers tab and tap the + button. Enter each worker's name, phone number, and daily rate. Both daily wage and monthly salary workers are supported.
Mark attendance every morning
Open the Attendance tab. Today's date is pre-selected. Tap P (present), H (half day), A (absent), or L (leave) for each worker, then confirm the day to lock the record.
Record payments as you make them
Tap any worker's name, then tap Record payment. Enter the amount, method (cash or UPI), and any notes. The outstanding balance updates instantly.

Does Deharhi work without an internet connection?
Yes — Deharhi is built offline-first. Attendance, wage calculations, payments, expenses, harvests, and sales all work with no internet connection. Your data is saved directly to your device.
Cloud sync is entirely optional. If you want a backup or access on multiple devices, you can sign in and enable sync in Settings. The app is fully usable without it.
Is my data safe?
Your data is encrypted on your device using SQLCipher (AES-256 encryption). Without your device passcode, nobody else can read it. If you enable cloud sync, data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with row-level security — only you can access your records. We do not sell or share your data with any third party.
Can I edit attendance after I have confirmed a day?
Yes. Once a day is confirmed, entries lock to prevent accidental changes. To edit a past entry, tap the lock icon next to that worker on the Attendance screen to unlock it, make your change, and confirm again.
How does wage calculation work?
For daily wage workers, each present day adds the full day rate. A half day adds half the rate. Absent and leave days add nothing. For monthly salary workers, the full monthly salary accrues over the calendar month. All payments you record are deducted from the running balance, which the worker detail screen shows clearly.
What is the tally period, and how do I change it?
The tally period controls what the Home screen summary shows — either the current week's net or the current month's net. To change it, go to Settings and toggle between Weekly and Monthly.
I changed phones. How do I get my data back?
If you had cloud sync enabled, sign in with the same account on your new device and your data will sync automatically. If you were using offline-only mode, data was stored locally on the old device. For this reason we recommend enabling cloud sync in Settings as a backup, even if you mainly work offline.
Can I add multiple farms?
Yes. Go to Finance → Manage fields and crops to add multiple farms, each with their own fields and crop assignments. Expenses and harvests can be tagged to specific farms and fields for crop-wise reporting.
How do I deactivate a worker?
Open the worker's detail screen and tap the edit (pencil) icon. Scroll to the bottom and tap Deactivate worker. This hides the worker from active lists but keeps all their attendance and payment history intact.
Will Hindi or Punjabi language support be added?
Hindi and Punjabi are on our roadmap. If regional language support matters to you, please email us — it helps us prioritise. We will update this page when new languages are available.
